The Thorlo Karāpiro Marathon is the final day of Long Course Weekend New Zealand. The finish line hosts a stunning red carpet finish for all athletes. As a spectator, you can come down to watch your loved one cross the finish line and if you’re early enough, you can witness the pro’s run through to victory. The run courses take athletes along Lake Karāpiro and through the rural landscapes that Karāpiro and the surrounding area is known for. With four distances available to suit everyone, plus a kids' fun run, we want everyone to achieve their goals on the final day of Long Course Weekend New Zealand.
With four beautiful courses to choose from you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time taking in the scenery. 42.2km, 21.1km, 10.5km and 5km courses available. The run courses take participants through the rural Waikato landscapes that Karāpiro and it's surrounding areas are known for.

Long Course Weekend New Zealand also has a Swim event and a Cycle event. Or if you are feeling brave you can enter the Quarter, Half or prestigious Full Long Course Weekend.
